Rear Plank
This looks familiar.


Don't skimp on the epoxy or the clamps.



Starting to look like something from Star Wars. You can see the pre bend in the rear plank. I went with Wally's recommendation of 1.5" of pre bend. I didn't get much spring back. With my 190lb butt in the boat and about another 50lbs the plank is flat.







My wing really looks like it wants to take off. I probably left a little more material on than necessary. I didn't want to take too much off. If it's too stiff I can always remove material. It's harder to add it back on. Also because it is ash and a little bit stiffer and stronger than sitka spruce I don't plan on glassing it in. Just a good coat of varnish.
